Mixing the PROTECTIVE LAYER

  • Permanon comes with a measuring cap.
  • Mix 2 caps of permanon for each quart of water. (8 caps of permanon for a gallon of water.)
  • A mixed solution will have a shelf life of 3-4 weeks.

INSTRUCTIONS TO APPLY PERMANON

1. SURFACE PREPARATION

  • Clean the surface using a mild cleaner that will not leave behind wax or residue.
(Some glass cleaners have wax in them)
  • Simple Green is a recommended cleaner.
  • For problem areas, use typical cleaners to get the expected results.
  • Clean the surface as well as possible.
  • Rinse the surface well to remove residual cleaner.
  • You do not have to dry the surface before applying PERMANON.
  • *Exception, Window glass should be wiped down to eliminate water spots.

2. MIST THE SURFACE WITH THE PERMANON MIXTURE USING A SPRAYER.

  • Use a trigger spray bottle, pump sprayer or backpack sprayer.
  • Apply as a light mist.
  • Textured surfaces may require additional coats.
  • Spray vertical surfaces bottom to top.
  • There is no harm in applying too much material.
  • The coating is in place when water beads up or will not remain on the surface.

3. THE PERMANON PROTECTION IS NOW COMPLETE.

4. On high gloss surfaces do not allow to bake dry in direct sunlight.
Otherwise, wiping or rinsing the remaining water droplets off the
surface is optional.

Subsequent cleaning and wipe downs can be done with a micro-fiber cloth and water. Try to avoid future use of abrasives in the cleaning routine. Scotch Brite style pads are abrasion that will remove the coating. Permanon will breakdown under abrasion or a ph of 12.5 or greater.

Maintenance APPLications

A minimum of one maintenance coat is recommended each year. Maintenance coats can
be applied more frequently if needed. To maintain the protective layer use half as much
permanon in the same amount of water. Mix 1 cap of permanon for each quart of water.
(4 caps of permanon is enough for a gallon.)
